Luz: Seeing the Space Between Us, a new publication by lifelong Pilsen artist Diana Solís, is set to release in November 2022. In her forward essay, photography scholar Deanna Ledezma, Ph.D. calls it, “a photographic homecoming as well as a project that reflects upon the transformations undergone by [Diana’s] home, the Chicago neighborhood of Pilsen.” This collection of work marks the artist’s return to photography and shows her tending to “the space between us” as the fertile ground in front of her lens where connection plays out.
